Brand News: Tree Bicycle Co. Update

Hello friends,

I wanted to tell everybody that the official name for the new Tree frame is "Lil Buddy". Because your bike is your little friend that is always ready for adventure and is always ready to go anywhere you go, whether its down the street or even to another country.

Also our Trick Stick pegs and Lite sprockets are now available in white powder coat.
We currently have the pegs in stock, but for the sprockets we only did a few so the powder coater could get them dialed in. They will be available in Bolt drive 22t,25t,28t,30t and spline drive 22t, 25t, 28t, 30t.

Things were dragged out on this project, because we were trying to make these in the USA, but our machinist did not own a CNC lathe so we waited 6 months for him to get one, but as you all know our economy is not doing so well. After the long wait we came to the conclusion that our machinist will not beable to afford to buy a lathe any time soon. So we sent the drawings to Taiwan and now we are getting the hubs made there.

The hub specs are:
- Female 17mm 7075 t6 aluminum axle.
- Unique thread design that prevents cross threading the axle (not shown in the pictures). The bolts thread directly into the aluminum axle. Our tests have shown that the aluminum threads are very strong so that under high torque the bolt will pull apart before the threads strip out.
- Straight pull spokes design, creating one of the strongest and stiffest wheels in BMX.
- Very easy to lace the wheel, just push the spoke into the hub and the spoke goes right to the corresponding hole in the rim.
- Spokes will be available through Tree Bicycle Co. They cost the same as other spokes. They will be available in black, white, and stainless also in straight gauge or butted.
- Removable and replaceable high strength nylon plastic hub guard that protects the spokes and greatly increases the life of the spokes when used by hardcore street riders. The hub will come with one guard but extra guards can be purchased separately.
- Very special bearing system that allows no looseness in the hub while at the same time allowing no resistance to rolling from side loads. The bolts can be tightened as tight as you want and it will never make the wheel roll slower.
